I am so excited that Bobbi of Date Like a Grown-Up is hosting Fashion Flash for the first time. IMO Date Like a Grown-up is the best online source of relationship advice. She has an incredible insight into what is going on in a man’s mind and a unqiue talent to tell you how to use this info in your life. While her site is focused on dating, I have found her advice invaluable for dealing with men in both personal and professional situtions. Bobbi is a rock star and I predict that she will become a major voice.
It seems to be some kind of universal law. The first thing people do when they become famous is to write a book. If they are infamous, they write a confessional. If they become famous with their reputations intact, they write a cook book.
Pippa Middleton is the sister of Kate, future Queen of England and grew up working in her family’s party goods company. While this would not seem to be enough credentials for a 400 page cookbook, I was charmed and impressed by her comprehensive party plans.
Divided by season and with a throughly British tone, Celebrate offers dozens of recipes, decorations, activities and specialty drinks. This past year winter lingered into April and I warmed up my house with Pippa’s recipes for a totally English leg of lamb, rosemary roasted potatoes, and cauliflower cheese. For dessert I followed Pippa’s recommendation for a heary apple crumble.
This weekend I planned a picnic with Pippa’s cornish pasties, but the weather was grey and soggy. No problem. These meat filled pasties were the perfect meal to watch the return of Poldark to Masterpiece Theatre.( Any other Poldark fans out there?)
And I’ve saved the best for last. Originally $50, its been remaindered at $7.99 on the Barnes and Noble sales table.
