Berries including strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries are the jewel in the crown of the fruit world. They are loaded with vitamins, antioxidants and fiber. Even better they are super low in calories and both salt-free and fat-free.
All berries are high in vitamin C, the one nutrient most associated with fewer wrinkles. A mere 1/2 cup of strawberries ( 30 calories) has 70% of the RDA for vitamin C– ounce for ounce 60% more vitamin C than grapefruit.

Reading about all the pesticides and herbacides in fruits and vegetables, I finally scared myself. I decided to start buying organic versions of the produce that has the highest chemicals levels when grown in commercial farms. This week I started with a beautiful head of organic lettuce that came with impressive credentials. Grown hydroponically, it stated in no less than three languages that had been grown without pesticides.
